Degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Southeastern University (formerly Southeastern College), Lakeland, FL
Career Path: Taught 5 years at Children’s House, Pearl City, HI; 5 years at Ebeye Calvary School, Ebeye, Republic of the Marshall Islands; less than 2 years at Ada Christian School. Has been at Algoma Christian School since 2001.
Courses Taught: Taught PreKindergarten through 1st grade at Children’s House, a Christian Montessori school; Kindergarten – 1st grade, 7th grade, 9th grade English, Algebra I, and was assistant administrator at Ebeye Calvary School; Preschool at Ada Christian. Currently teaches PreK through 5th grade General Music, Beginning Band, Jr. High Band, Jr. High Choir, Advanced Band, and KnightSong (Sr. Choir), at Algoma Christian School.
Personal Information: Married to Patrick, who is a retired Army Warrant Officer, and have two daughters.
Favorite Bible verses: Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalms 33:1-3
Other Interests & Pursuits: Gardening, quilting, reading Christian historical novels, listening to and playing good music (obviously!), attending German Family Church Camp and accompanying my husband to Oshkosh Air Venture every summer.
Comments: I consider myself blessed to have the best job EVER. There are few things that bring me greater joy than to teach and encourage young ones to discover, develop and use their God-given musical skills and talents. Because of the Creator’s desire to draw us to Him, all have been given the ability to joyfully worship Him who created us for His pleasure.
