Career: Bachelor of Science from Pensacola Christian College, Masters of Education from Summit University, ACSI Certified. Comment: I have been teaching at ACS since 2015. God opened many doors as my family and I moved to the state of Michigan. I am so excited to be part of the ACS family. I get to teach about subjects I love and share my passion for defending Biblical creation. The biggest blessing in working at ACS is that I get to invest in the lives of young men and women, and I get to see them mature as children of God. My wife, Patty, and my kids, Zach, Jordan, and Jacob are excited to be part of the ACS family as well. |

Phone: 616-678-7480 Ext: 111
Career: Bachelor of Science in K-12 Physical Education and 6-12 Health Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. I have been here at ACS since the fall of 2015 upon finishing my degree requirements in December 2014. In my time here, I have served in quite a few different teaching and athletic roles. I currently serve as the Athletic Director, K-12 Physical Education teacher, the high school Health Education teacher, and the high school baseball coach. I love the different hats that I wear and the capacity in which I am able to serve the school.
Comment: My wife Mackenzie and I live in Conklin, MI and have two young daughters, Charlotte and Laynie. My wife serves as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Coopersville High School, and our girls attend the Weeknights Child Development Center here at ACS. I am originally from Illinois, while my wife grew up in metro Detroit. I thank her for pushing me to look into teaching opportunities here in Michigan, as we have fallen in love with the Grand Rapids area and West Michigan as a whole. Our hope and prayer is for every student and athlete that we cross paths with will be able to see something different in us and our girls... that Jesus will be reflected through each and every interaction we have. |

Career: Mrs. Lyons is a graduate of Faith Baptist School in Davison, MI; graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint; and completed her Masters of Education degree at Liberty University; ACSI Certificate. I have been teaching at ACS since 2008.
Comment: I am originally from the Grand Blanc area of East Michigan. After our family relocated to the West Michigan area, it was difficult not having any family or friends with whom to connect. ACS filled that void and has become our new family and provided a strong friendship network for each of us. My husband and I have three children all of whom have attended ACS. This school has become a part of our hearts, and we are so very blessed to have found such an amazing place to call 'home'. I am grateful for this school!

Career: Bachelor of Science from Cornerstone University in Bible and Art of Ministry. Interim Teaching Certificate from Michigan Teachers of Tomorrow.
Comment: I am beyond blessed to have been married for almost 4 years to my wife Megan, and we have a vibrant, joyful, and vocal 1 ½ year old named Hadley. 5 years ago, I was hired to coach soccer Algoma Christian. During this time, I have developed a deep appreciation for the students and staff. So, when I received word that I was hired as a teacher for the 2020-2021 school year I was beyond excited to join the ACS staff. I hope to bring an enthusiastic, exciting, and positive attitude to the classroom where students can grow academically, in Christ, and in service to one another. GO KNIGHTS!

Career: Bachelor of Science, from Wright State University. In process of completing additional graduate classes from Ferris State University.
Comment: Algoma Christian School has been an important part of my life. I started teaching here in 2012, part-time, and then full-time since 2013. I attended ACS as a student through fourth grade and have many fond memories of past teachers and classes at Algoma. My husband and I live in the Sand Lake area with our three children who also attend ACS. After moving back from Ohio and having three small children, I thought my teaching days might be over. God had other plans for me, and now I have the privilege of teaching at Algoma. I can impact children's lives here at ACS just as past teachers did for me. God is so good!

Career: Bachelor of Arts, Religion major from Cornerstone University; Master of Theology, New Testament and academic ministries emphasis from Dallas Theological Seminary; Full Member of the Evangelical Theological Society; Lifetime Bible Specialist Certification from ACSI.
Comments: Shortly after my wife and I moved to northern Kent County in 2001, we began looking for a Christian school for our son. As we inquired around, Algoma Christian School kept coming up. We enrolled our son and quickly discovered why so many people recommended Algoma. The Algoma family is made up of hardworking, unpretentious, servant-hearted people. The school is committed to high academic standards, sound evangelical teaching and practice, and is supported by caring faculty and staff. In 2007 I joined the faculty full time.
