Career: Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, CO. I was a kindergarten teacher for one year for Wyoming Public Schools and worked at Christian Schools International for 38 years. I started volunteering at Algoma in 2008 and became a teacher-aide in 2011.
Comments: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28, NIV). I've witnessed this in my life many times, but two times stand out . When I was a kindergarten teacher in the Wyoming Public School system and all of the first-year teachers were laid off, God led me to a position in the Curriculum Department at CSI--a position I considered my calling until our department was disbanded in 2007. God then led me to begin volunteering at ACS, and I eventually become a staff member. I can see that this is now God's plan for me. It is a blessing and a privilege to work with so many dedicated Christians and be able to share God's love with His children. Every day I receive so much more than I can possibly give!

I have had the privilege to drive bus for Algoma Christian School since 2014. Being a bus driver was never on my radar until the Spring of 2014, when an opportunity and need arose at ACS for another bus driver. God instantly pressed it on my heart to pursue this opportunity and I have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since! Currently I drive for most all of the class field trips and retreats, and filling in for the bus route as needed.
My husband is Michael, who most people know as "Mick," We are blessed with four sons. Two of them have graduated from ACS and two of them are currently working their way through high school at ACS. We are grateful for the way that God has provided for our family over these past 12 years at ACS! Each year He has provided in unique ways for us to keep our kids in Christian School. It is a great blessing and privilege to be a part of this ACS family!

Career: I graduated from Kent City High School. Since then I have been helping on my family's apple orchard on the ridge in Kent City. I have also worked in sales. Comments: My family has been a part of Algoma Christian School since 2002. I started volunteering when my oldest started Pre-K for recess duty and helping in the Pre-K class once a week. In 2012, I was asked to join the staff as a teacher aide for kindergarten. I have worked as a volunteer or classroom aide in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade as well as helped in the library and with recess. It is so rewarding to watch the kids grow in their learning and especially grow stronger in their faith as Christians throughout the school year. My own children have grown so much in their personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. My husband and I are truly blessed to have our children be a part of the Algoma Christian School experience.

I have a bachelor of arts in Psychology and Spanish from Calvin University in Grand Rapids. From there I worked in human resources until I became a mom, then I transitioned to my dream job staying home to raise a family. I started my own photography business in 2010 and enjoyed 10 years behind the camera and all the adventures and creative editing I was able to do along with the amazing people I met. Now that my youngest is in school full time for the first year, I am ready to start working again and I can think of no better place to work than the school that has been my family's home away from home since 2007 when my son started preschool. I have two high schoolers and an elementary student at Algoma and I am so thankful for the partnership I have with the school to disciple these kids! This is my first year working at Algoma, I look forward to getting to know the students and families and staff more as we work together to serve the Lord with our gifts and talents.
