Career: Bachelors of Business Administration, Northwood University; MBA, Northwood University; Associates of Arts in Ministry/Bible from Global University-Berean School of the Bible. Comment: Mr. Taylor and his wife Erica are the parents of four ACS students: classes of '25, '27, '29, & '31. He spent 14 years as the president and general manager of a multi-national, multi-million dollar corporation, including extensive experience in capital expansion projects. He also developed and oversaw a high-performing management team. He spent 4 years in the Marine Corps, including 2 combat tours to Iraq, and an honorable discharge as a sergeant. In 2018, Mr. Taylor felt called to ministry, and has been in pastoral ministry since September of 2018. He and his wife currently oversee Living Stones, a local church in Sand Lake. He loves ACS for both the practical and spiritual realities. Having K-12 Christian education is essential for training up young men and women to be consecrated followers of Jesus! All four of his children have thrived academically and spiritually in the seven years they have called ACS home! |

Career: Mrs. Lyons is a graduate of Faith Baptist School in Davison, MI; graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint; and completed her Masters of Education degree at Liberty University; ACSI Certificate. She has been teaching at ACS since 2008.
Comment: I am originally from the Grand Blanc area of East Michigan. After our family relocated to the West Michigan area, it was difficult not having any family or friends with whom to connect. ACS filled that void and has become our new family and provided a strong friendship network for each of us. My husband and I have three children, all of whom have attended ACS. This school has become a part of our hearts, and we are so very blessed to have found such an amazing place to call 'home'. I am grateful for this school!

Angela Skelonc -- Secondary Principal

Career: Bachelor of Science, from Wright State University.
Comment: Algoma Christian School has been an important part of my life. I started teaching here in 2012, part-time, and then full-time since 2013. I attended ACS as a student through fourth grade and have many fond memories of past teachers and classes at Algoma. My husband and I live in the Sand Lake area with our three children who also attend ACS. After moving back from Ohio and having three small children, I thought my teaching days might be over. God had other plans for me, and now I have the privilege of teaching at Algoma. I can impact children's lives here at ACS just as past teachers did for me. God is so good!

Career: Bachelor of Arts, from Alma College. Michigan Teaching Certification; ACSI Certificate.
Comment: Algoma Christian is a family atmosphere where I enjoy the opportunity to work with students and families as we make disciples. I'm thankful to be part of such a great team where we can all use our talents for the Lord. I have been at ACS since Fall of 2010. My role is to help students prepare for their life after high school by aiding in scheduling, checking graduation requirements, communicating about necessary assessments, along with connecting with students and families about other vital information. In addition, I coordinate with our local district, Kent City Community Schools, as the District Rep for special education services. My two daughters have attended ACS since Wee Knights and are part of the class of 2025 and 2029. I am thankful for the quality education and love they receive. Please come talk to me, or email me, if I can help your student prepare for life after ACS or if you'd like to discuss how to better meet your child's individual learning needs.

Morgan Kehoe -- Athletic Director
Phone: 616-678-7480 Ext: 112 Email: [email protected]
Career: Bachelor of Science from Ferris State University in Recreation Leadership Management and Interpersonal Communication. Master of Arts from Michigan State University in Communication.
I have worn many hats during my career at ACS. Currently, my roles include Athletic Director, Varsity Volleyball Coach, and teaching Secondary English and High School Physical Education.
Comment: When it was time for my husband and I to decide on the educational path for our two boys we were led to Algoma Christian School. We fell in love quickly with the family atmosphere and the focus on Christ and His biblical teachings. I have worked for Algoma Christian since my youngest son was in kindergarten. I worked in the office for 7 years and then switched to the classroom and I love it! Through my time playing volleyball and running track at Ferris State, I discovered not only a passion for sports but also a passion to share my knowledge, experience, and love of athletics with others through coaching. It has been an honor to coach the ACS varsity volleyball team for the past ten years. It has been a continued blessing to coach, work, and send my kids to Algoma Christian.

Comment: As an alumnus and member of the "All the Way Through Club," ACS has been a huge part of my life. My husband and I met here in Kindergarten, married in 2005, and knew it was where we wanted our three kids to spend their school careers when the time came. Now, as part time librarian and part time development director, I'm thrilled to share my love of books and ACS in the various aspects of my jobs!
